Missouri Post-Third Tax Sale Offerings Question
Hello everyone,
New to this forum so I apologize if I'm in the wrong spot. I'm looking at purchasing a post-third tax sale property from my local county collector. I've been asked to provide an offer for purchase (per 140.260.8 RSMo, county collectors may sell lots at any time for any amount). I've never purchased a property in this manner, though I have attended a tax sale auction. I have researched the property in question and its assessed value. My questions is this: would an appropriate offer be based off the delinquent taxes on the property, the total assessed value of the property, or in between both? For reference, the assessed value is about $2,000 more than the total of delinquent taxes. Thanks for your help.
