Calls After Mail-Outs

Rebecca Scott
Posted

I mailed letters to all the tax lien properties I like for the upcoming auction. Last year when I went to the auction, I feel like 70% of what I liked had debts repaid before the auction day and I had a feeling it was other investors. So this year as soon as the auction list dropped I started my letters. I will be a first time investor (and first time homeowner hopefully too) this year. I am an agent but also a very new one. I am with a great brokerage who can help with all my coaching but I also enjoy reading you all here. When you get the initial call do you make an offer even if your papers arent in front of you? Or do you just gather general info and call back with an exact offer $?

I am working on a basic script for their calls to be prepared but I still feel nervous!

If I don't buy anything from these mail outs I'll just hope to get them at auction but I'm hoping I can avoid being bidded up a ton this way.
