Cost Segregation Study- New Build

Matt Goodson
Posted

Hi All,

I’ve recently purchased a new build to short term rent. I’ve read a bit on cost segregation studies but difficult to tell if it’s worth it. Does anyone have someone I can talk to or have a framework to review?

Thanks,

Matt

@Matt Goodson our real estate CPA seemed more than comfortable using the cost seg websites over an actual in-person study. Says it costs under $500 and is accepted by the IRS. I can’t give you any more info yet because we haven’t finished our taxes and this is our first year doing them.
