Finding Solid Non Performing Notes

BP NPN Experts,

Hope you don't mind sharing some of your non performing mortgage note trade secrets with a newbie, trust me...my funds won't price anyone out of the market!

How do you find your distressed assets? What I'm seeing is mostly daisy-chains, non-directs, that are marked up to unprofitable levels.

After learning quite a bit about note investing, and practicing a lot, although I'm nowhere close to professional status, I think I'm ready to "get in the game".

Most of my education is around valuing notes, exit strategies, and acquisition strategies (i.e. self-directed IRA's, etc). You're probably laughing right now at how little I actually know. Maybe just enough to be dangerous and lose my kids' college tuition money over some sour deals, hopefully not!

With a little help from experts like you, how could anything go wrong!?! Ever notice how jokes aren't really that funny in forum posts? Well, I try anyway.

Thanks,

Josh
