Detroit for an OOC Investor
After many months, or perhaps years, of analyzing and doing research I decided to invest in the Detroit area (metro and suburbs). Since I am an out of the country investor, common sense advised to get turn key properties. But that route was not of my liking, since I truly believe you make your money when you buy. If I pay retail, I will never make any money, right?
That’s why I decided that the only reasonable option, and perhaps the intelligent one, was to travel to Detroit. So here I am! I landed 5 days ago.
My strategy is to buy distressed properties in good neighborhoods, like Boston Edison, Virginia Park, La Salle Gardens, Rosedale Park, English Village and perhaps also in up and coming areas like the North End. Also interested in the suburbs and multifamily.
Any help is appreciated!

Since you're already in Detroit, you should definitely connect with https://www.biggerpockets.com/users/MarisaR10 while you're there. She's well connected there and can help you get your bearings quickly.
