Preliminary Title Report

Hey Everyone,

My cousin is buying a rental in Detroit without Realtors involved.  There are some weird things I'm seeing in the transaction history and asked the title company to provide a preliminary title report.  They came back saying that they don't do that there.

I find it odd because there are some other concerning items. Anyone have experience with this?  Do you have any recommendations for real estate attorneys to review everything?
