Looking to Connect with Investors!

Hey everyone! I am moving to Boston from San Diego next month with the goal of learning how to make real estate investing a legitimate career for myself. I grew up on the south shore and then moved to the west coast after college for a few years. After working a cubicle sales job and reading Rich Dad Poor Dad (very original story, I know), I decided that I needed to make the move back home and start working for myself.

I have my real estate license and am going to be working rental deals in Boston to start and then move into residential sales (primarily working with investors). My goal is to meet as many investors as possible this year via meetups. Does anyone have any good recommendations for meetups? I'm open to all recommendations! Thanks in advance.

The other question I had is whether or not it is possible to work as an agent and a wholesaler at the same time. I don't want to spread myself too thin and I'd rather commit to one or the other but I was curious if there is anyone that does this in the Boston area?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

@Andrew Camarda Yes, very normal for agents to be engaged in off market properties while servicing clients in rental, buy, and listing sides.
