Investors from overseas
Hi all,
I've been in the real estate investing/flipping world throughout New England now for 3 years but have just done things locally through hard money lending and private investors. Now that I've been expanding my network, I've come across an interesting opportunity that I don't want to pass up. Looking for some advice on how to structure a business when involving investors from overseas. I have connections to some wealthy people across the pond who would like to invest in real estate in the US. It would be on an individual project basis so I'm wondering do I setup an LLC for each property, do I setup a Trust for each property or should they just willingly give my LLC the cash to purchase/flip etc and I guarantee them money back like a loan? Has anyone else had any success in this realm? I want things to be transparent and I'm nervous about international rules and regulations etc. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks :)
