Guys, this Jefferson Coutny lead paint ish is going to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyy worse for owners than you understand. Extremely difficult to pass and I bet you didn't know that you had to get it reinspected again in three years. Chipping paint on exterior is going to be be your downfall. Even my seasoned and great landlords are going to have major issues with this. I'd start getting ready now or consider exit strategies. Jefferson county section 8 rental numbers are lower for 2025. All the adjacent counties? They went up (from the few I've looked up). Big changes coming! My smart friends seem to think that basement dwellings being tested for radon is next on the horizon. Knowledge is power, are you staying on top of things? Looking at the big January 1st rule changes? You should be! They are starting with properties built before the 1940's or 1930's. <---if you own Jefferson County properties in this age range, this issue should receiving your attention.

They do this in a lot of locations. Vinyl windows and vinyl siding will solve most issues.
