Jenkins described the excitement around the new Harbor House inter-generational center being built off of Lower Hunts Trace near Dixie Highway. It is a first-of-its-kind kind $12 million facility in Kentucky to serve those with disabilities of all ages.

"To receive services, to socialize, to get a hot meal, all those things," Jenkins said.

The $5 million carved out in ARP funding from the state budget is something Harbor House leaders said will help make the center a reality at an important time.

"The demand is very strong and we just cannot look forward with any more excitement than we have today to move into this facility and help more people," John Zoeller said.
