Contractor License Requirement

Hey all,

First post here.  Just starting to get everything together on my first property, but wanting to begin putting together a team early.  Do any of you go ahead and get your contractor's license, in the event you do need to do any work on the property?  Atleast the way I am reading JoCo's regulations, it seems you need a contractor to do any modifications on the home, even if you are the owner.  Is it the same on the Missouri side?  I have an engineering degree, so JoCo does not have any further requirements I need to meet, so it would only require the paperwork and fee.

Thanks!
