Newbie/ Aspiring Investor In Cedar Rapids, IA area

Aidan Roemig
Posted

Hello everyone, I am a aspiring real estate investor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have been interested in investing for a while now. I’ve read many books and thought a lot about real estate investing and would like to get started. The only thing is, I’ve just recently turned 18. I’m worried people won’t take me or my goals and ideas seriously.
Does anyone have any ideas or connections?

Hi Aidan! Congrats on getting started. My husband and I are Realtors, Investors, and Property Managers in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City market. All you need is ONE bank or lender (unless you cash) willing to give you a shot. Get creative. You may need to find someone to co-sign to get started. I’d suggest house hacking to get started. Buy a home and rent some rooms. Eventually you’ll outgrow the house but can keep it and rent it and continue buying new. There’s so many avenues to go. We arent currently set up to mentor but take on new investors ready to buy their first rental. If you’re handy we have a couple remodels going right now and can hire to do labor and you can get some first hand experience. Both houses are in CR.

Best!
