Updated about 11 years ago,
converting to forced-air HVAC
I'm considering a bid on a 50-year old duplex (2x 2/1, ca 800sqft) that does not have a central HVAC currently. Heated with an electric heater and cooled with a window AC unit. I talked to the current tenants and while they are OK with it, obviously, they would prefer to have central HVAC.
As a ballpark figure, what would I be looking at to install central HVAC in both units? The property has an accessible crawl-space that could accommodate the ductwork and it is a one-story building.
Any input highly appreciated!
