Real Estate Agent looking for a solution
Hello, I just found this site, but I've seen some interesting Q&A on here so I going to put my situation out here.
I'm a new agent in a new town. What I see here is very saddening. We have an abundance of people looking for rentals and NO RENTALS!!! The company I work for manages over 150 units, and tenants do not move out. Every day we get 3-4 calls from people looking for rental houses/apartments/trailers. It's so sad because sometimes these people end up living in a motel or staying in a relative's house while they are waiting on a place to become available. This is my thought.....we have tons of land and need investors to come and build homes to rent for $500-$800/month. Is that possible to do???? Like I said, I'm new at this but I see a need and am trying to find a solution. I feel the city would offer support with incentives and tax breaks since the mayor just visited us the other day to try to troubleshoot this lack of housing as well. If anyone on BP's has any ideas please share.
