Any ideas to save this floor?

Hello, we recently bought home and hired someone to change the stain color for our floor. After two weeks the floor work is done but, the original wood grain is not showing up and whole floor shows like one big wood plank. Any ideas how we can save this floor without going through two weeks of work again?
