Rehabbing old multifamily

Hi there,

I am looking at possibly purchasing a 16 unit multifamily that's in pretty bad shape. It was built in 1915. I am new to multifamily investing. Is there any thing specific I should be looking for? Any tips?

For example, I heard something about plumbing and electrical systems being a problem for buildings built at that time, is this true? and what's the best way to check for these issues?

Any input from someone who's done this before would be appreciate. Thanks!

Edit: I forgot to add that the property I am looking at is in the midwest.
