First Fix and Flip Deal

Hey All, 

Hoping someone could provide some advice on a unique fix and flip opportunity near me. I am passionate about diving into real estate and believe this is a good opportunity to jump in.

I really wanted to know if anyone has some insight on how to fix and flip a home where the current seller holds on to the home and I coordinate with an investor to supply the funds for the renovations? Following the renovations (6-9months) and the final sale profits would be split amongst the owner / investor / myself.

Is this possible OR even a good idea?
