Title company demands pro rated taxes after close?
Has anyone had this happen? Title company says they "did not estimate real estate taxes correctly" and wants $2500. Closing was a few months ago. Although I understand where they are coming from, it's a tough pill to swallow.

Assuming you can verify that you really did owe an extra $2500 and the title company just screwed up, the right thing to do is to pay it and then never use that title company again (unless they make it right in some other way).
It's not unreasonable for them to expect you to pay it, but that's still a major screw-up on their part...
