Choosing paint colors, appliances, fixtures

Is there a good guide or book out there (up-to-date) in general paint colors, types and colors of flooring, appliances, and fixtures styles/colors to choose for general rehabbing. I know it will depend on the value and location of the property, but i am just looking for some general guides to have it look nice but stay cost efficient. Thanks!
