Flooring Design Question??

Hi All,

TLDR; do I replace the mismatching hardwood floors in my kitchen with Vinyl Plank? Or do I try to refinish them to the same color??

I am currently making updates in my primary home in preparation to sell it this summer.

I live in a townhome that's not huge (1400 sq ft split between 2 levels)

On the main floor is the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Previously, there was carpet in the LR and DR and thin plan hardwood floors in the kitchen (yellow oak color).

I am finishing putting vinyl plank flooring in the LR and DR and will be adding white baseboards and trim. Flooring Color is kind of Beige (brown with some grayish).

Main question, what do I do with the hardwood floors? Do I replace it with the Vinyl Plank? Refinish it to the same color?

I was going to replace them but then getting lots of feedback to never replace hardwood with vinyl plank. So here I am Looking for your design recommendation s!
