Any moves I can make on a “short sale” listing?

I got to know about this house in question after the owner got my mailer and called me that the house was already listed on the market. I was a bit discouraged but I saw it’s been over 80days since it was listed.

Recently the listing has been updated to “short sale”. I have seen the property and I believe thAt after a good remodel, it can sell for a potential profit.

At this time, I am wondering what’s the best move to make. Whether to tell her to give me.Time to remodel so she can get her full asking price?

Anyone have this experience before what Was the best way you handled it?
