Granite Install Calculation

I would just like to make sure the numbers to calculate cost for granite install are correct in the below hypothetical example.

Granite Cost: $32 per sq ft

Counter Length: 15 ln ft
Counter Depth: 2 ln ft

Need to convert linear feet to square feet
= 15 * 2 = 30 sq ft

30 sq ft * 32 per sq ft = $960

Is this calculation correct? I figured it would be higher than $960, typically the cost for granite counter tops I see are more in the 1.2 to 1.5k range.
