Rental remodel, are French doors to a patio a good idea?

I am remodeling a walkout basement to create an apartment. As of now, I have 8 ft. Wide sliding glass doors that I would like to replace with tenant proof French doors or patio doors to create an indoor/outdoor living space and would love your suggestions!
