What color to paint front door for increased curb appeal?

Just trying to get some quick input on what color to paint front door...home is 4br, 3.5ba in semi-custom neighborhood, neutral (tan) siding with black shutters/roof, white exterior trim.

I know some buiders/rehabbers go with a standout color, others choose standard white/black, etc.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

With a tan house consider Colonial red or Sun Dried Tomato red - a darker red with a yellow cast instead of a blue cast, like Burgundy.

It will coordinate with the siding well.
