Finding tenants using a for rent sign

Seeing who places a for rent sign in front of their property to find tenants? Has it been effective strategy for finding a tenant? What do you put on your for rent sign? Name, number, unit size...?

I currently use Zillow, trulia, hotpads, and cozy for listing my rentals. Are there any other sites that I may be missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Facebook Marketplace and sign in the yard, as well as Zillow and Craigslist. Just my phone number on the for rent sign. When they call, give them the facts in 10 seconds or less, to save time.

“Hello. Yes, it’s a 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex for $1,400 a month. Is that in the price range you are looking?” The answer determines if you give them more details.
