Septic Failure In a Flip - Things To Look For When Septic Is Bad

In New England, we have a lot of older homes with septic systems still. Many of the foreclosure "deals" involve a failed septic system which is intimidating for a lot of investors, including myself. So after ignoring any listing I saw with that disclosure, I've decided that with a little knowledge a barrier to entry will become a competitive advantage. Looking for some advice on how to approach, some rehab stories including septic, contractors you may have used in Metro West Boston for the service, things that I can look out for (if possible) etc... Thank you!

Ed
