Focus on learning everything you can BEFORE you start looking for a mentor.  Nobody is going to want to teach you the business from scratch -- they're going to want to see that you will take some initiative and get started.  The only people who will help you from the very beginning are the ones who want you to pay them for their help.

Spend a few months here on BP learning everything you can...
