Exterior Paint recommendations for Humidity

My exterior contractor fixed a ton of wood siding in my quadplex that was rotted from water and old termite damage. I didnt know but learned (too late) that he should have primed the back of the new wood siding before installing it to further prevent water damage. Obviously he didnt do this. My property is in Savannah so it gets a ton of percipitation. What do you suggest is the best exterior paint to use to help prevent future water rot and damage. I know sealing any cracks, powerwashing and repainting every few years is necessary. Any advice would be great.
