We are looking to turn a 1930s five bedroom house into a room by room rental. We have thought about turning it into boarding homes for homeless veterans for homeless people if there are some kind of agencies that help place them. Do any of you have any experience with that?

@Blaze Crook first off, what a name!!  I have rented my house out to various groups who in turn did room rentals. Some were Christian ministry groups, and it's currently a sober living home. All of the people have taken good care of my house. However; one of the Christian ministry groups went against the lease and put it on airbnb, with 32 beds in the house, and I had to ask them to move.

Make sure the zoning in your town allows for shared housing situations, and find out what the criteria is as far as health and safety codes.
