Help w/ rehab estimate

I'm doing some exterior work on a 3-fam, and was hoping to get a couple of opinions on pricing from a contractor. This is a three story house, with a somewhat steep roof.

* Tear off slate roof and lay new asphalt shingles, 16 square total - $180/square plus any extra wood decking that has to be added. This seemed a bit high.

* For 110 linear feet, tear off old box gutters, replace rotted fascia board, wrap fascia in metal (soffits already covered), install conventional guttering and downspouts - $3,300. This price seemed a little high to me.

* Tuckpoint the chimney - $300 - this seemed OK.

* On rear of house, cover about 400 sq ft of old wood siding w/vinyl siding. I do not have an estimate on this, so wanted your number.

Thanks!
