Selling my contract to purchase
I am currently in a lease with the option to buy. The lease is non-transferable. However, the contract to purchase is. I had health problems last year and ended up filing bankruptcy so my credit is not in a place where I can purchase the home, at this time. I am a licensed real estate agent and my house could sell for $50,000 to $60,000 more than my contract price, with a few repairs. I’m trying to figure out how to sell my contract and pull the cash out of it. Of course I will approach my broker with this but I wanted to have some ideas before I go to her. Basically, I’m wanting suggestions on how to sell this house and get the cash out without having to get a loan myself.
