Tax Forclosure Property Im Considering

Marcus Cowin
Posted

Hi Everyone,

My name is Marcus and I am a licensed realtor in the state of Michigan.  I have been eyeing some properties in the neighborhood I live in and came across one that I would love to purchase. When I look up the property tax info I notice that the taxes have not been paid in 3 years and it is "Subject to Foreclosure". I would love to Rehab this property and rent it out. It is in a prime location and the rent in my area is going for anywhere from 1000 to 1500 depending on what you are looking for. I did some research on this property and its owner and notice that the owner has been deceased since 2014, should I worry that this property could actually belong to an heir? When will this property actually go to auction? Is it possible to buy this property before it goes to auction? This is my first forum post and I appreciate all of the helpful insight from each of you.

Marcus
