Another Reason I Want Financial Freedom

I was inspired today about WHY I want financial freedom.

"Whatever causes us to be dependent on someone else for decisions or resources we could provide for ourselves weakens us spiritually and retards our growth toward what the gospel plan intends us to be."

-Dallin H Oaks. "Repentance and Change", Ensign or liahona, Nov. 2003, 40

I will reach financial freedom or self reliance so I can continue to progress and become the person I can become!

I hope this encourages/uplifts you as it has me.

Let's go get it!

@Michinori Kaneko

Thanks for the response Michinori.

I can relate to your experience. I have a new baby boy and I would much rather play with him than work on a business or anything else really. My family is my reason I want financial freedom. I want to have freedom over my time so I can spend it with my family and also spend it serving God. I served a 2 year mission in New York and it was one of the best times of my life and I want to serve more missions.

In order to be called on a mission, I think, you have to be self sufficient and be able to drop everything to go.

I'm not all knowing or too philosophical but I believe there is more progression we can have only after becoming self sufficient. Self sufficient or financial freedom can come at any point when you are able to live on less than what you earn.. so you don't need to make millions of dollars.

I think about the Maslow's hierarchy of needs.. You must be able to meet your physiological needs before you can get to your self actualization needs.

I am not there yet so I can't really speak for that :)

Thanks again for your comment @Michinori Kaneko and good luck on your journey! You have a very compelling reason to get to FF so I would bet you'll get there!

Kind regards,
