Hello, I have a closing tomorrow on a rehab that I completed. Do most of you guys meet the buyer and close together? How does it all work? Thank you!

Yes, I understand that, but how do you communicate with the buyer when the their realtor is doing all the communicating for them? Thansk

Since my wife is our agent and we are very involved in the transaction details, at some point in the process we tend to meet the buyer.

We always offer to walk through the house with the buyer and answer any questions about the work we did. And I generally go to the inspection (just for a few minutes at the beginning) to let the inspector in and to introduce myself. These are the types of situations where we meet the buyer.

When we do, we hand them our business cards, and (in front of their agent), tell them that they're welcome to call us directly if they have any questions. And we always make sure they know to get permission from their agent before they do, so their agent is in the loop.

Some buyers we don't hear from until closing, and some call us a dozen times to ask questions.

Also, if our buyers have any issues after closing with stuff that shouldn't have issues (i.e., if something doesn't work), they know they can call us. Obviously, this has the potential to get out of hand, but after a couple dozen sales so far, we haven't had any buyers who have taken advantage of that offer (at least not yet :D)...
