FYI for Investors & Contractors on Lead Safe

Just an FYI about the new EPA RRP Lead Safe Law. Most contractors need to be certified under the law, (this may flip a few of you out) however the law also extends to real estate investors that perform their own repair, renovations or painting on Pre-1978 properties. The EPA recognizes rents & profits as a form of payment to real estate investors, so they also are required to be lead safe certified under the ruling.

Don't believe me, check it out for yourself. Questions #23002-18512 & #23002-32412 of the EPA FAQ's List talk about it. Here is the link http://epa.gov/lead/pubs/rrp-faq.pdf

The fines for non-compliance are very heavy, so it is best to be informed.
