How to become General Contractor In Illinois?
Hey everyone!
I have been doing some extensive research on how to become a GC in Illinois. Although it says you don't need a specific license (only for roofing and pluming) I'm still unsure on how the process works. Do you still need some other type of license? Or could I literally go out and do work on a property for payment? Things that I'm guessing:
1. I would need some type of bond for work?
2. Would setup a business
3. Would get insurance for business (would guess there is specific construction insurance?)
