Out of state flips. Is it possible?

We live in an area which is too expensive to invest in. We have invested in single-family homes in several states. Now we are wanting to try the BRRRR method of investing but because it would be long-distance, we are somewhat hesitant. For those of you who have done this and succeeded, how do I get started?
