Handheld Tool & Software for Estimating Square Feet

Can someone recommend a handheld tool that allows me to quickly measure square feet and linear feet and then transfers that data very easily to an app or software so that I can see the dimensions? I'd like to measure rooms, roof dimensions, gutter linear feet, driveway square footage, etc. I know there are tons of handheld measurement tools online but many don't seem to connect with software or an app so easily. Thank you!
