Fly my contractor/friend from cali to work on my project???

I have a friend who is a contractor my property is in Kansas City and we are in California I have family also in Kansas City. I trust my friend to do a good job should I send him out there to do the work what do you guys think.

@Aaron Maxwell Welcome! If you are trying to build a team and/or do more business in Kansas City I would work on finding a different person that is local to Kansas City. This will help you if you plan on doing more business. If this is a one time shot then fly your friend in but remember housing him costs, transportation daily to work, food costs, airfare etc. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Your friend most likely is not licensed to do the work in the other state. Also probably doesn't know what the codes and regulations in that state are.

    California has some of the most restrictive building codes in the country. You need someone who knows local codes, jurisdictions, and requirements.

    @Aaron Maxwell my first recommendation is to use punctuation in your posts. Personally, I think it makes more sense to spend the time and effort to find a good  local contractor. It's just not practical to fly a contractor in. Is he going to bring all of his tools and equipment with him? How is he going to get tools and materials to the job site without his truck? This doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
