Underpinning contractors and construction cost

Hello everyone. We are renovating our rowhouse basement in and will be digging down about 2 feet to achieve 8-foot ceilings and need to underpin. Our space is about 745 sq feet.  This type of project is happening a lot in DC, so I am hoping someone has recently done this an can let us know how much it cost. Underinning also seems to be a specialty, so please let us know if you have any recommendations for contractors experienced with underpinning! Thanks in advance, Patrick
