Sworn Construction Statement? - Need some help

Greg P.

The bank that is willing to finance me said in their email that they need a sworn construction statement from my contractor/handyman. Does the bank provide their own sworn construction statement or do I need to find a generic one and have the contractor fill it out? Thank you!

The title company insuring the loan probably has a form you can use.

Never heard of that before. Did the contractor provide a signed invoice or estimate showing phases of construction and completion. This is usually all I give to bank on my projects and the appraiser documents with pics and notes to confirm. Hope this helps.

If you are using a General Contractor, he should have one (usually an Excell spreadsheet). If you are acting as your own General, your lender may have one that they prefer or your title company may have one that meets all of their requirements. If neither do....let me know and I can e-mail you a blank Excell spreadsheet that we use.

I give my loan officer an Excell sheet that list everything. It has the comps I used, the cost of projects I intend to tackel my self, the projects that will be contracted out, expected profits, ETC.

@Greg P.

What sort of loan are you doing, may I ask?
