How do they prorate property tax early in the year?
If you sell a house early in the year before the Tax Collector has even released an estimate of property taxes, how does the title company know how much to charge the seller for prorated taxes?
Example: You sell a property in March. The Tax Collector has not released any information on how much the property taxes will be that year. How do they know the amount?
