Question for Flippers

I am curious to see if the flippers here think it is worth it to make sure everything is done right to avoid wasting time negotiating credits in escrow or if you think you should do what you can to limit expenses? The reason I’m asking is because I am representing a buyer who wants a house and the inspection came back a lot of issues. Not the usual small stuff either. Open permits, plumbing not strapped, leaks under the house, wiring in the attic not strapped either. I am building capitol to flip myself and think it makes more sense to make sure you can have as clean an inspection as possible.

    Replied

@Justin Worsham This is a really pervasive issue...eventually, consumer advocate groups will step in (we're getting close in my market)..hot housing markets attract unqualified flippers (like your case here). Its an embarrassment to the industry and they should be run out or fined for attempting to knowingly sell unsafe properties to unsuspecting consumers.

Property inspectors are not always the best group either, but in this instance they discovered some real problems it sounds like...that's what they are paid to do...

It's always best to do things right...it's your reputation on the line.
