Free Beer and Hotdog with Purchase
I’m buying a property in a couple weeks that was built in 1967 and occupied by the original owners ever since. They have since passed away and the heirs are selling the house. The catch is that the heirs (children of the deceased) want almost nothing from the house. Essentially, I am purchasing a fully furnished home of which the contents look to be circa 1967 as well. Furniture, kitchen amenities, decoration, clothes, linen, knick knacks, and everything thing else you could possibly think of that would normally be found inside a persons home.
It would take a lot of 30 yard dumpsters to get rid of everything (expensive!). I don’t want to spend a whole weekend (or pay someone) to haul off the junk or break my back hauling it somewhere for donation. My first thought was to have a garage sale and price things dirt cheap, but who wants a couch from 1967? Second thought was to give away a free beer and hotdog with every purchase, bandit sign ads and craigslist too. Liability and legality could be an issue there. What would you do in this situation?

Call Goodwill, Salvation Army and a bunch of the local churches. I'm sure they may know a needy family that would love free furniture clothing, electronics, etc. They will likely pick up.
