Appreciate any feedback. I have learned and heard from others that solid wood doors are the best bet for lower end rentals. I’ve been buying from lumber supply and occasionally from Home Depot. Prices for my prehung primed door is usually around 180. Does anyone have another supplier? I’m looking to buy 16 doors at a time, but I could go a bit more if the price were right. Btw I have found a supplier that does wood windows at a great price. Very handy when working in historic areas. Trimline. Most of my windows are around 375.

Patrick Liska Grant Rothenburger I do use lumber yards. When I was doing flips and high end rentals I would order doors from them. Think the pricing was around 190 for five or two panel pine primed.

I’m in a market with less bells and whistles now so I use the in stock 6 panel pine door from HD 180....or so. Not too much difference in price and they are using similar stock when you order the cheaper doors from the lumber yards. I use them for ease of ordering and also for returns. Don’t know if you’ve ever had a foul up with swing or sizing but if so the lumber yards have a no return policy if it’s not their fault. Understandable but when you can just take a door out and return to HD that’s big.

I was looking for a direct supplier. Somebody smaller than the big door cos that will only shop to authorized distributors.
