Where should I buy my supplies for flipping?
I am going to start doing flips in the bay area in California. Mostly in Santa Cruz County. I am wondering where most people buy their supplies like tile, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, etc.
Do you suggest just heading to the closest Home Depot or Lowes? Or do you know of any local companies that have great value? I'd be willing to look into some online companies too. Although, I do love to support local companies if it won't cost an arm and a leg.
Thank you!

For me, it would depend on what level of flip I'm doing, and what kind of supplies.
- Fixtures: mostly at HD, sometimes at Lowes since there seem to be more HD than Lowes around here.
- Tub, HWH (water heater), furnaces: plumbing supply house (San Jose, Oakland have plenty).
- Flooring: HD & Lowes if they have special (on sale items); Bedrosians, Daltile, Bullnose, Bay Stone, Porcelanosa, Terico, Uni-tile, KZ Kitchen, etc...
- Cabinets: higher end: custom shop; mid-low: KZ-Kitchen, Uni-Tile, semi-custom dealers (HD & Lowes sell them too).
- Paint: Mostly HD (good discount on my pro account); Kelly Moore
- Shower doors: less-known brands (imported) from stores like KZ Kitchen, some semi-custom models from Lowes; custom setup would be custom ordered.
- etc...
If you drive to San Jose (I think ~45 mins for you), there are plenty of suppliers around the Brokaw Rd area (off of 101 & 880). I would tour the area and get a feel of what they offer and pricing.
