Sweet deal on a Dump Trailer

On jobs we usually have a dumpster , but after its gone there is always something to haul . I have a 5 x 8 utility trailer that is handy as hell , its light , easy to load and holds quite a bit . I have had this thing for years , great for leaves in the fall except for unloading .

I am at the landfill this morning unloading some junk from my house ,  The guy next to me is struggling to get a dresser out of his SUV he is around 75 years old  . I give him a hand , and he comments on my trailer . He says he has one about that size that dumps that he never uses , would I be interested ?  Sure and I follow him home to look at it . A Brimar 5 x 8 dump trailer , 5000 lb capacity , garage kept , looks like new ,paint still on the floor and its 10 years old  he says he used it like 5 times .  He tells me he will take  $ 1500 for it .   1/2 of what he paid .  I tell him  thats fair , I wrote him a check on the spot .

New one today is $ 3995 , plus taxes and tags .

My back is feeling better already

The landfill charges $ 75.00 a ton for commercial trucks and for dual axle trailers , single axle are  free . This trailer is a single axle and will carry 2 tons .
