Help with bad contractor in Milwaukee, WI
Hi All,
Does anyone have any experience going after bad contractors in Milawukee? We had a GC that basically dropped the ball on numerous portions of a rehab job and is refusing to complete a garage even though he was paid for it in full - Is this something that should be done in small claims court in city of milwaukee or would an attorney be appropriate - any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

There are some applicable consumer protection regulations in Wisconsin which apply to any contractor that takes money up front. Chances are the GC is in breach of these unless it is a bigger firm. The laws can grant mandatory return of double damages and attorney fees and court costs if you win the case. Check out Wisconsin code ATCP 110.
