House Flipping Partnership

Hi. I am asking this question for my husband. He currently is a Union cabinet maker. He does a ton of "side work" doing complete kitchen & bathroom rehabs etc. He can pretty much do everything as far as construction. He is looking into getting into the house flipping market. We have no money to invest at this point but would love to get hooked up with a house flipper locally who needs a contractor to a GC to run the project. Since we have no money to invest at this point and are just looking to get his feet wet and learn, how do we go about this? Where does he start? Would he just get paid for being the contractor? Or could he find a partnership where there is a money investor and a labor investor where he gets a percentage of the profits? My husband would love to work his way (after he pays his "dues") from being the one physically doing all the work but instead being the one who manages the project (while of course still doing some of the work).
