outside laundry??

looking at fixing up this house and it all seems pretty standard except the laundry hookups on the back patio...i think this would be a negative when it comes time to sell...what options can you guys come up with? have any idea what it would cost to screen in the porch?? this is still open to theft though...maybe a sunroom/mudroom/laundry area?? thanks for your creativity!!
